RAT ANGLE privacy

Measurements stay on your device unless you choose to share a tag.

Data in the app

RAT ANGLE does not collect personal data through the app. It has no account system, advertising, analytics service or server connection. The app does not automatically transmit hinge readings, calibration, game activity or measurement tags to RAT DEPT.

Physical or simulated hinge readings, your Zero reference, Hold, target settings and Rat Run state are processed locally. The app does not maintain a persistent measurement history or tag library. Session values may remain available while the app stays alive.

Sharing a measurement

If you choose Share tag, iOS gives the generated image to the destination you select. The image can include the angle, a diagram, its reference, a timestamp and time zone, a random tag identifier, and Demo or Held labels. RAT DEPT. does not receive an automatic copy.

A tag saved to Files or sent through another service is retained according to that destination’s settings and policies. You control whether to share it and can remove saved copies using the destination’s controls.

Device access

The app reads the device hinge through Apple’s system APIs. It does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. Haptic and game timers run locally.

Support email

If you choose to email ping@ratdept.com, your email provider sends the address, message and attachments you supply to the support mailbox. This information is used to respond to your request. Avoid including information you do not want to share. This is separate from the app’s on-device operation.

Support correspondence is kept only as needed to respond to your request. Contact us to request deletion; information that must be retained to meet a legal requirement will be kept only as required.

This website

This policy describes the RAT ANGLE app. The app itself does not load this website automatically. This page contains no analytics scripts, forms or remotely loaded fonts.

Visiting this website is a separate interaction with its hosting service, which may process connection and request logs. The app’s on-device measurements are not sent with a website visit.

Changes and contact

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated with a new revision date. For privacy questions, contact ping@ratdept.com.
